New Living Shorelines Report Released
Posted by Kristine on Sep 7, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 commentsWe are pleased to announce the release of a new report Living Shorelines in the Southeast: Research and Data Gaps, prepared by the Georgia Coastal Research Council for the Governors’ South Atlantic Alliance. The report synthesizes scientific information relevant to living shorelines in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, including the physical, biological, and chemical characteristics of living shorelines in salt marshes and mangroves. The report also includes a compendium of living shorelines projects in these four states and an annotated bibliography.

We are grateful to the report’s authors, Margaret Myszewski and Merryl Alber of the University of Georgia, who prepared the report in collaboration with the Georgia Coastal Research Council and with review and input from technical experts in all four South Atlantic states.
