The GSAA and the World Ocean Council (WOC) hosted a marine spatial planning (MSP) simulation exercise designed to identify best management practices for MSP in the South Atlantic, especially in a post-disaster business recovery situation. The exercise explored opportunities to streamline responses and permitting processes, identify data and information needs, and facilitate communication pathways with industry. This exercise included participants from the GSAA’s Strategic Issues Ad-hoc Work Groups and invited industry and agency representatives who work closely with industry stakeholders.
