GSAA Issues Wetlands RFP

The Governors’ South Atlantic Alliance, via South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, has issued a Request for Proposals to provide support for deliverables of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Wetlands Program Development Grant focused on improving the quantity and quality of coastal wetlands in the U.S. South Atlantic.

Utilizing the GSAA’s framework for regional interagency collaboration, the contractor(s) will directly support the South Atlantic states in their efforts to protect and restore coastal wetlands through three key grant products:

  1. establishment of a regional monitoring workgroup focused on coastal wetlands monitoring efforts,
  2. outreach and training on successful Best Management Practices (BMPs); and
  3. a regional summit leading to prioritized gaps and needs for moving forward on a regional approach to living shorelines.

Overall project management support will also be required.

Proposals will be due April 2, 2015, and questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted to the Procurement Officer by March 17, 2015.  The solicitation and accompanying documentation is available through the SC Budget and Control Board Procurement Services website.
